The European leaders agreed to amend (at a later time) the current EFSF and ESM frameworks to allow them to recapitalize foreign banks directly. This “seemingly” bullish news sent the Euro soaring by more than two full points. Equities are also showing great strength out of the recent ICL, not surprising when you consider the depth of the sell-off and the extreme technical and sentiment levels achieved during the ICL. I believe this strength (85 points in 15 days) is symptomatic of a counter trend rally. A breakout and off go equities as I expected out of that mini coil and bull flag, not in the least surprising as a new Investor Cycle was clearly in play. We need to sit patiently and wait for the Cycle to uncover the most opportune time to take on short positions.
